        AN ACT to amend the agriculture and markets law, in relation to  prohib-
          iting  gelatin  and  gelatin  by-products  from  being  used in animal
          commercial feed
 

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision 1 of section 132 of the agriculture and markets
     2  law is amended by adding a new paragraph (f) to read as follows:
     3    (f)  It  bears  or contains any gelatin or gelatin by-product. For the
     4  purposes of this paragraph, "gelatin"  means  a  colorless  or  slightly
     5  yellow,  transparent,  brittle  protein  formed by boiling the specially
     6  prepared skin, bones, and connective tissue of animals.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred twentieth day after
     8  it shall have become a law.
