GLICK -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to increasing the penalties for leaving the scene of an incident involving a wheeled non-motorized means of conveyance The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 1240 of the vehicle and traffic 2 law, as added by chapter 468 of the laws of 2001, is amended to read as 3 follows: 4 2. Leaving the scene of an incident involving a wheeled non-motorized 5 means of conveyance without reporting in the second degree is a 6 [violation] class A misdemeanor. 7 § 2. Subdivision 2 of section 1241 of the vehicle and traffic law, as 8 added by chapter 468 of the laws of 2001, is amended to read as follows: 9 2. Leaving the scene of an incident involving a wheeled non-motorized 10 means of conveyance without reporting in the first degree is a class [B11misdemeanor] E felony. 12 § 3.
