        AN ACT to amend the correction law, in relation to the duty to  register
          and to verify by a sex offender
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph (b) of subdivision 2  of  section  168-f  of  the
     2  correction  law, as added by chapter 192 of the laws of 1995, is amended
     3  to read as follows:
     4    (b) The verification form shall be signed by  the  sex  offender,  and
     5  state  that  he or she still resides at the address last reported to the
     6  division.  Such verification form shall require  such  sex  offender  to
     7  state  the name of any school for children, regardless of whether public
     8  or private, in grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth which is  located
     9  within a one-half mile radius of such offender's place of residence.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after
    11  it shall have become a law.
