          on Transportation
 
        AN ACT in relation to authorizing the town of Mamaroneck and the village
          of Mamaroneck to designate a portion of New York Route 1 as  a  school
          zone
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-

        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions  of  the  highway  law,  the
     2  vehicle  and  traffic law or any other laws to the contrary, the town of
     3  Mamaroneck and the village of Mamaroneck are hereby authorized to desig-
     4  nate a school speed zone on West Boston Post Road  (New  York  Route  1)
     5  with  a  posted  speed limit of 20 miles per hour, effective school days
     6  between 7 AM and 5 PM, to be located between Winthrop Avenue in the town
     7  of Mamaroneck and the entrance of Mamaroneck Town Hall, 740 West  Boston
     8  Post Road, in the village of Mamaroneck.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
