        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to requiring the
          power authority of the state of New York to post on  its  website  and
          develop  a  corresponding mobile application with information on elec-
          tric vehicle charging stations

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Subdivision 9-a of section 1005 of the public authorities
     2  law, as added by section 1 of part KK of chapter 58 of the laws of 2019,
     3  is amended to read as follows:
     4    9-a. (a) As deemed feasible and advisable by the trustees, to  design,
     5  finance,  develop, construct, install, lease, operate and maintain elec-
     6  tric vehicle charging stations throughout  the  state  for  use  by  the
     7  public.  The  authority shall annually post on their website a report on
     8  those activities undertaken pursuant to this subdivision, including  but
     9  not  limited  to: the total number of electric vehicle charging stations
    10  in operation pursuant to  such  authorization,  the  locations  of  such
    11  charging  stations, and the total costs to the authority associated with
    12  such activities.
    13    (b) In addition to the information required in paragraph (a)  of  this
    14  subdivision,  the authority shall also post on its website and develop a
    15  corresponding mobile application with  information,  including  but  not
    16  limited  to:  a map with the addresses of each electric vehicle charging
    17  station in the state, the type of electric vehicle charger, whether  the
    18  charging  station  is  located  in a parking lot, parking garage or on a
    19  street, whether there are fees  required  to  use  a  charging  station,
    20  whether  there  is  a  fee  to enter a lot where the charging station is
    21  located, whether the charging station is publicly available, and whether
    22  a charging station is out  of  service  or  otherwise  unavailable.  The
    23  information required pursuant to this paragraph shall be updated no less
    24  than monthly.
    25    §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
    26  have become a law.
