AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating portions of
the state highway system as the "Livonia Veterans Memorial Highway"
and the "Springwater Veterans Memorial Highway"
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding two new sections 344-d
2 and 344-e to read as follows:
3 § 344-d. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
4 "Livonia Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state high-
5 way system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Livonia,
6 county of Livingston, beginning at the Lima and Livonia town line,
7 continuing in a generally southerly direction, and terminating at the
8 Livonia and Canadice town line, shall be designated and known as the
9 "Livonia Veterans Memorial Highway".
10 § 344-e. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
11 "Springwater Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state
12 highway system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Spring-
13 water, county of Livingston, beginning at the Canadice and Springwater
14 town line, continuing in a generally southerly direction, and terminat-
15 ing at the intersection of state route fifteen A and state route fifteen
16 shall be designated and known as the "Springwater Veterans Memorial
17 Highway".
18 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
19 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system
20 as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid
21 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the desig-
22 nations called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be of cere-
23 monial nature and the official name of state route 15 A shall not be
24 changed as a result of this act.
25 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
