AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating portions of
the state highway system as the "Brighton Veterans Memorial Highway",
"Henrietta Veterans Memorial Highway", "Rush Veterans Memorial High-
way", "Mendon Veterans Memorial Highway", "Lima Veterans Memorial
Highway", "Livonia Veterans Memorial Highway", "Canadice Veterans
Memorial Highway" and "Springwater Veterans Memorial Highway"
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding eight new sections
2 344-d, 344-e, 344-f, 344-g, 344-h, 344-i, 344-j and 344-k to read as
3 follows:
4 § 344-d. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
5 "Brighton Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state
6 highway system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Brigh-
7 ton, county of Monroe, beginning at the city of Rochester and town of
8 Brighton boundary line, continuing in a generally southerly direction,
9 and terminating at the Brighton and Henrietta town line, shall be desig-
10 nated and known as the "Brighton Veterans Memorial Highway".
11 § 344-e. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
12 "Henrietta Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state
13 highway system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of
14 Henrietta, county of Monroe, beginning at the Brighton and Henrietta
15 town line, continuing in a generally southerly direction, and terminat-
16 ing at the Henrietta and Rush town line, shall be designated and known
17 as the "Henrietta Veterans Memorial Highway".
18 § 344-f. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
19 "Rush Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state highway
20 system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Rush, county of
21 Monroe, beginning at the Henrietta and Rush town line, continuing in a

1 generally southerly direction, and terminating at the Rush and Mendon
2 town line, shall be designated and known as the "Rush Veterans Memorial
3 Highway".
4 § 344-g. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
5 "Mendon Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state high-
6 way system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Mendon,
7 county of Monroe, beginning at the Rush and Mendon town line, continuing
8 in a generally southerly direction, and terminating at the Monroe and
9 Livingston county line, shall be designated and known as the "Mendon
10 Veterans Memorial Highway".
11 § 344-h. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
12 "Lima Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state highway
13 system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Lima, county of
14 Livingston, beginning at the Monroe and Livingston county line, continu-
15 ing in a generally southerly direction, and terminating at the Lima and
16 Livonia town line, shall be designated and known as the "Lima Veterans
17 Memorial Highway".
18 § 344-i. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
19 "Livonia Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state high-
20 way system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Livonia,
21 county of Livingston, beginning at the Lima and Livonia town line,
22 continuing in a generally southerly direction, and terminating at the
23 Livonia and Canadice town line, shall be designated and known as the
24 "Livonia Veterans Memorial Highway".
25 § 344-j. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
26 "Canadice Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state
27 highway system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Canad-
28 ice, county of Livingston, beginning at the Livonia and Canadice town
29 line, continuing in a generally southerly direction, and terminating at
30 the Canadice and Springwater town line, shall be designated and known as
31 the "Canadice Veterans Memorial Highway".
32 § 344-k. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
33 "Springwater Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state
34 highway system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Spring-
35 water, county of Livingston, beginning at the Canadice and Springwater
36 town line, continuing in a generally southerly direction, and terminat-
37 ing at the intersection of state route fifteen A and state route fifteen
38 shall be designated and known as the "Springwater Veterans Memorial
39 Highway".
40 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
41 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system
42 as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid
43 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the desig-
44 nations called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be of cere-
45 monial nature and the official name of state route 15 A shall not be
46 changed as a result of this act.
47 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
