        AN  ACT  to  amend  the general obligations law, in relation to allowing
          certain parties of releases  and  covenants  involving  PFAS  to  seek
          contribution from other responsible parties

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 15-108 of the general obligations law is amended by
     2  adding a new subdivision (e) to read as follows:
     3    (e) Exemption for releases and covenants  involving  PFAS.    Notwith-
     4  standing  any  other  provision  of  law  to  the contrary, every person
     5  providing cleanup, removal of  discharge  of  per-  and  polyfluoroalkyl
     6  substances  (PFAS)  shall  be  entitled  to  contribution from any other
     7  responsible party.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
