        AN  ACT  to  amend  the education law, in relation to tuition assistance
          program awards
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Clause (D) of subparagraph (ii) of paragraph a of subdivi-
     2  sion 3 of section 667 of the education law, as amended by section  1  of
     3  part B of chapter 60 of the laws of 2000, is amended to read as follows:
 
     4  (D) Eighteen thousand dollars or    Nine hundred eighty dollars
     5      more, but not more than         plus twelve per centum of
     6      [eighty] one hundred            excess over eighteen
     7      thousand dollars                thousand dollars
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
