          tee on Environmental Conservation
 
        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  environmental  conservation law, in relation to
          allowing the use of rifles for hunting in Rockland county
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.    Item  (i)  of  paragraph  a of subdivision 2 of section
     2  11-0907 of the environmental conservation law, as amended by section  14
     3  of  part  EE  of  chapter  55 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as
     4  follows:
 
     5  (i) The counties of       Deer, the first Monday   Pistol, shotgun,
     6    Allegany, Cattaraugus,  after November 15        crossbow,
     7    Cayuga, Chautauqua      through first Tuesday    muzzle loading
     8    except that portion     after December 7         firearm, rifle or
     9    of the county north                              long bow only
    10    of route 20, Chemung,
    11    Chenango, Herkimer,
    12    Madison, Montgomery,
    13    Oneida, Oswego,
    14    Otsego, Rockland,
    15    Schoharie, Schuyler,
    16    Steuben, Tioga,
    17    Wyoming and Yates
    18    and that portion of
    19    the county of
    20    Broome east of the
    21    Susquehanna river
 
 
         EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets
                              [ ] is old law to be omitted.

     1    § 2. Item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of  section  11-0907  of
     2  the  environmental conservation law, as amended by section 15 of part EE
     3  of chapter 55 of the laws of 2014, is amended to read as follows:
 
     4  (i) The counties of       Deer and bear, the       Pistol, shotgun,
     5    Allegany, Cattaraugus,  first Monday after       crossbow,
     6    Chautauqua except       November 15 through      muzzle loading
     7    that portion of the     first Tuesday after      firearm, rifle or
     8    county north of route   December 7               long bow only
     9    20, Chenango,
    10    Herkimer, Montgomery,
    11    Oneida, Oswego,
    12    Otsego, Rockland,
    13    Schoharie, Tioga
    14    and Wyoming
    15    and that portion
    16    of the county
    17    of Broome east of the
    18    Susquehanna river
    19    §  3. This act shall take effect immediately, provided that the amend-
    20  ments to item (i) of paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907  of
    21  the environmental conservation law made by section one of this act shall
    22  be subject to the expiration and reversion of such paragraph pursuant to
    23  chapter  600  of the laws of 1993, when upon such date the provisions of
    24  section two of this act shall take effect.
