        Introduced  by  M. of A. FALL -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions
 
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to use of reven-
          ues from tolls collected on the Verrazzano-Narrows bridge
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. Subdivision 3-a of section 553-j of the public authorities
     2  law, as added by section 5 of subpart A of part ZZZ of chapter 59 of the
     3  laws of 2019, is amended to read as follows:
     4    3-a. Of the capital project costs paid by this  fund:  eighty  percent
     5  shall  be  capital  project costs of the New York city transit authority
     6  and its subsidiary, Staten Island Rapid Transit Operating Authority, and
     7  MTA Bus with priority given to the subway  system,  new  signaling,  new
     8  subway  cars,  track and car repair, accessibility, buses and bus system
     9  improvements and further investments in expanding  transit  availability
    10  to  areas  in the outer boroughs that have limited mass transit options;
    11  ten percent shall be capital project costs of the Long Island Rail Road,
    12  including but not limited to, parking facilities, rolling stock, capaci-
    13  ty enhancements, accessibility, and expanding  transit  availability  to
    14  areas  in  the  Metropolitan  Commuter Transportation District that have
    15  limited mass transit options; and ten percent shall be  capital  project
    16  costs  of  the  Metro-North Commuter Railroad Company, including but not
    17  limited to, parking facilities, rolling  stock,  capacity  enhancements,
    18  accessibility, and expanding transit availability to areas in the Metro-
    19  politan  Commuter Transportation District that have limited mass transit
    20  options. Provided, however, that the  relative  proportion  of  revenues
    21  available  for  such capital project costs obtained from tolls collected
    22  on the Verrazzano-Narrows bridge shall be applied to  expansion  of  bus
    23  rapid  transit and high-occupancy vehicle lanes in the borough of Staten
    24  Island.
    25    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
