        Introduced  by M. of A. EPSTEIN -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Education
 
        AN ACT to amend the education  law,  in  relation  to  requiring  public
          schools to provide at least one plant- or nut-based milk option
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The education law is amended by adding a new section  915-a
     2  to read as follows:
     3    §  915-a.  Milk  options.  Each  public school in the state offering a
     4  dairy-based milk option during scheduled meal  periods  shall  offer  at
     5  least one plant- or nut-based milk option.
     6    §  2.  This act shall take effect on the first of July next succeeding
     7  the date upon which it shall have become a law and shall  apply  to  all
     8  school years commencing on or after such date.
