        AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to  prohibiting
          limousines from making U-turns
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The vehicle and traffic law is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 1225-e to read as follows:
     3    §  1225-e.  Limousines  prohibited  from  making  U-turns.  1. For the
     4  purposes of this section, the term "limousine" shall mean any of various
     5  large passenger vehicles;  especially  a  luxurious  automobile  usually
     6  driven  by  a  chauffeur and sometimes having a partition separating the
     7  passenger compartment from the driver's seat.
     8    2. No limousine shall make a U-turn  at  any  traffic  signal,  inter-
     9  section or sign.
    10    §  2.  This  act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall
    11  have become a law; provided, however  that  effective  immediately,  the
    12  addition,  amendment and/or repeal of any rules or regulations necessary
    13  for the implementation of the foregoing provisions of this  act  on  its
    14  effective  date  are authorized and directed to be made and completed on
    15  or before such effective date.
