AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of
the state highway system as the "Springwater Veterans Memorial High-
way"
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section 344-d to
2 read as follows:
3 § 344-d. Portion of the state highway system to be designated as the
4 "Springwater Veterans Memorial Highway". All that portion of the state
5 highway system constituting state route fifteen A in the town of Spring-
6 water, county of Livingston, beginning at the Canadice and Springwater
7 town line, continuing in a generally southerly direction, and terminat-
8 ing at the intersection of state route fifteen A and state route fifteen
9 shall be designated and known as the "Springwater Veterans Memorial
10 Highway".
11 § 2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
12 lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state highway system
13 as designated pursuant to section one of this act. However, to avoid
14 confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce, the desig-
15 nation called for pursuant to section one of this act shall be of cere-
16 monial nature and the official name of such highway shall not be changed
17 as a result of this act.
18 § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
