        AN  ACT  to amend the legislative law, in relation to prohibiting member
          items
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The legislative law is amended by adding a new section 54-c
     2  to read as follows:
     3    § 54-c. Prohibition of member items. 1. There shall be no member items
     4  in  the  two thousand twelve -- two thousand thirteen budget from fiscal
     5  year April first, two thousand twelve to March thirty-first,  two  thou-
     6  sand thirteen.
     7    2. For purposes of this section, "member items" shall mean any portion
     8  of  state  funding  allocated  by the senate and assembly to be used for

     9  community projects, civic projects, public health initiatives, or  other
    10  public use specifically in the recipient members' districts.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
