          on Higher Education
 
        AN ACT to amend chapter 80 of the laws of 2000  amending  the  education
          law  relating  to the abolition of citizenship requirements for licen-
          sure as a veterinarian, in relation to making  certain  provisions  of
          the education law permanent
 

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 3 of chapter 80 of the laws of  2000  amending  the
     2  education  law relating to the abolition of citizenship requirements for
     3  licensure as a veterinarian, as amended by chapter 201 of  the  laws  of
     4  2007, is amended to read as follows:
     5    §  3.  This  act shall take effect immediately[, provided however that
     6  the amendments to subdivision 6 of section 6704 of the education law and
     7  the amendments to subdivision 6 of section 6711  of  the  education  law
     8  made  by  sections  one  and  two of this act shall expire and be deemed
     9  repealed December 31, 2010].
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
