AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to
allowing the use of rifles for hunting in certain towns in the county
of Chautauqua; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon
expiration thereof
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the
2 environmental conservation law is amended by adding a new item (j) to
3 read as follows:
4 (j) The followingDeer, the first MondayPistol, shotgun,
5 towns in the countyafter November 15muzzle loading
6 of Chautauqua:through first Tuesdayfirearm,
7 Charlotte east of after December 7rifle or
8 state route sixty,long bow only
9 Gerry east of
10 state route sixty,
11 Villenova, Cherry
12 Creek, Ellington,
13 Poland and Carroll
14 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire and be
15 deemed repealed one year after such effective date or on the same date
16 as paragraph a of subdivision 2 of section 11-0907 of the environmental
17 conservation law expires pursuant to section 13 of chapter 600 of the
18 laws of 1993, as amended, whichever shall occur first.
