          BRIGHT, PAULIN, MAISEL, MILLER, SCHIMEL -- Multi-Sponsored by -- M. of
          A. COOK, FAHY, GOTTFRIED, MARKEY -- (at request of the  Department  of
          Environmental Conservation) -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Environmental Conservation
 

        AN  ACT  to  amend  the  environmental  conservation law, in relation to
          extending the authority of the department of  environmental  conserva-
          tion to manage squid
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph h of subdivision 1 of section  13-0339-a  of  the
     2  environmental conservation law, as amended by chapter 297 of the laws of
     3  2011, is amended to read as follows:
     4    h.  squid  (cephalopoda)  until  December  thirty-first,  two thousand
     5  [thirteen] fifteen, and
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
