        AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
          relation  to  transitioning all rent controlled housing accommodations
          to be rent stabilized
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1. The administrative code of the city of New York is amended
     2  by adding a new section 26-416 to read as follows:
     3    § 26-416 Transition of rent controlled housing accommodations to  rent
     4  stabilization.  All  housing  accommodations  subject to rent regulation
     5  under the provisions of this chapter  on  January  first,  two  thousand
     6  twenty  shall be reclassified to be subject to rent regulation under the
     7  provisions of chapter four of this title  and  designated  "transitioned
     8  housing accommodations".
     9    § 2. Section 26-504 of the administrative code of the city of New York
    10  is amended by adding a new subdivision d to read as follows:
    11    d. Transitioned housing accommodations as designated by section 26-416
    12  of this title.
    13    §  3. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that the amend-
    14  ments to the city rent and rehabilitation law made  by  section  one  of
    15  this  act  shall  remain  in  full  force and effect only as long as the
    16  public emergency requiring the regulation  and  control  of  residential
    17  rents and evictions continues, as provided in subdivision 3 of section 1
    18  of  the  local emergency housing rent control act; and provided that the
    19  amendments to section 26-504 of chapter 4 of title 26 of the administra-
    20  tive code of the city of New York made by section two of this act  shall
    21  expire  on  the  same  date as such law expires and shall not affect the
    22  expiration of such law as provided under section 26-520 of such law.
