AN ACT to amend the environmental conservation law, in relation to
prohibiting the use of pesticides containing Neonicotinoids
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Section 33-1301 of the environmental conservation law is
2 amended by adding a new subdivision 12 to read as follows:
3 12. For any person to use any pesticide containing Neonicotinoids
4 ("neonics"), including but not limited to acetamiprid, clothianidin,
5 imidacloprid, nitenpyram, nithiazine, thiacloprid, and thiamethoxam.
6 § 2. This act shall take effect January 1, 2020.
