        Introduced  by  M. of A. BALL -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Economic Development, Job Creation, Commerce and Industry
 
        AN ACT to amend the general municipal law, in relation to designating an
          empire zone in the counties of Dutchess, Orange  and  Putnam  for  the
          purpose of establishing agri-businesses
 

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Subdivision (b) of section 960 of the general municipal law
     2  is amended by adding a new paragraph (xiv) to read as follows:
     3    (xiv) Within six months after the effective date of this paragraph, an
     4  additional empire zone shall be designated and established in the  coun-
     5  ties  of  Dutchess,  Orange  and  Putnam for the purpose of establishing
     6  agri-businesses in such empire zone.
     7    Each such agri-business shall make a capital investment of ten million
     8  dollars or more and create twenty or more jobs.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
