        Introduced by M. of A. HUNTER -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Social Services
 
        AN ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to public notice of
          basic rights
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The social services law is amended by adding a new  section
     2  134-c to read as follows:
     3    §  134-c.  Public notice of basic rights.  The office of temporary and
     4  disability  assistance  shall  work  with  the  local  social   services
     5  districts  to  determine  what information should be given to applicants
     6  and recipients of public assistance. The office of temporary  and  disa-
     7  bility  assistance  shall  further  determine  which of that information
     8  shall be placed on the office's website.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
    10  have become law.
