        Introduced  by  M. of A. KOLB, BYRNE, MORINELLO, NORRIS -- read once and
          referred to the Committee on Transportation
 
        AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to fees charged
          for license plates
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Subdivision 3 of section 401 of the vehicle and traffic law
     2  is amended by adding a new paragraph e to read as follows:
     3    e.  The commissioner shall waive the payment of fees required by para-
     4  graph a of this  subdivision  if  the  number  plates  applied  for  are
     5  required due to a change in plate design.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
