        Introduced  by M. of A. NOLAN -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Education
 
        AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to notice of  the  termi-
          nation of special therapy services by school districts
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section 1. The education law is amended by adding a new  section  3036
     2  to read as follows:
     3    §  3036.  Special  therapy services; notice of termination. The super-
     4  intendent of a school district which provides physical therapy,  occupa-
     5  tional  therapy,  or  any other special therapy services to any students
     6  with special needs shall, not less than sixty days prior to  the  termi-
     7  nation of any such services:
     8    1.  notify,  in writing, the parents or legal guardian of each student
     9  receiving such services that such services will be terminated; and
    10    2. place on the internet website for such school  district,  a  notice
    11  that such services will be terminated.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
