  TITLE OF BILL: An act to amend the real property law, in relation to the definition of a campground   PURPOSE: Relates to the definition of a campground.   SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS: Amendment to Chapter 654 of the laws of 2019. Section 1 - Amends paragraph 1 of subdivision a of section 233-b of the real property law, as added by a chapter of the laws of 2019, amending the real property law relating to campgrounds, as proposed in legisla- tive bills numbers S.1944A and A.1569A.   JUSTIFICATION: Chapter 654 of the laws of 2019 amends the real property law relating to campgrounds setting a procedure for the removal of persons from a camp- ground for a term of more than one week who, among other things, create a disturbance or otherwise violate lawful regulations promulgated by the campground owner. This chapter amendment clarifies the definition of campground shall not include land owned by the state of New York.   LEGISLATIVE HISTORY: New bill amending Chapter 654 of the laws of 2019.   FISCAL IMPLICATIONS: None.   EFFECTIVE DATE: This act shall take effect immediately.

        AN ACT to amend the real property law, in relation to the definition  of
          a campground
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Paragraph 1 of subdivision a of section 233-b of  the  real
     2  property  law,  as  added by a chapter of the laws of 2019, amending the
     3  real property law relating to campgrounds, as  proposed  in  legislative
     4  bills numbers S. 1944-A and A. 1569-A, is amended to read as follows:
     5    1. "Campground" means any parcel or tract of land, including buildings
     6  or other structures, where five or more campsites are made available for
     7  use  as  temporary  living quarters for recreational, camping, travel or
     8  seasonal use. For  purposes  of  this  section,  campgrounds  shall  not
     9  include land owned by the state of New York.
    10    §  2.  This  act  shall  take  effect on the same date and in the same
    11  manner as a chapter of the laws of 2019, amending the real property  law
    12  relating  to  campgrounds,  as  proposed in legislative bills numbers S.
    13  1944-A and A. 1569-A, takes effect.
