AN ACT to amend the civil service law, in relation to employees classi-
fied as the Triborough bridge and tunnel authority superior officers
benevolent association of an MTA-employer and the resolution of
disputes in the course of collective negotiations
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subparagraph (iii) of paragraph (f) of subdivision 5 of
2 section 209 of the civil service law is renumbered subparagraph (iv) and
3 a new subparagraph (iii) is added to read as follows:
4 (iii) Within ninety days of the enactment of this subparagraph, and
5 only within such time period, any such public employee organization
6 certified or registered to represent employees classified as the Tribor-
7 ough bridge and tunnel authority superior officer benevolent association
8 of an MTA-public employer (described in subparagraph (ii) of paragraph
9 (a) of this subdivision) may elect to be covered by the provisions of
10 this section by filing in writing a notice of participation with the
11 chairman of the board and the chairman of the metropolitan transporta-
12 tion authority.
13 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately, provided, however, that
14 the amendments to paragraph (f) of subdivision 5 of section 209 of the
15 civil service law made by section one of this act shall not affect the
16 expiration of such subdivision and shall be deemed to expire therewith.
