          on Local Governments
 
        AN  ACT  to amend the general municipal law, in relation to the applica-
          tion of code and ordinance violation administrative adjudication
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1. Subdivision 1 of section 380 of the general municipal law,
     2  as amended by chapter 392 of the laws of 2012, is  amended  to  read  as
     3  follows:
     4    1.  Any  municipality  [having a population of more than three hundred
     5  thousand but less than three hundred fifty thousand] may adopt  a  local
     6  law  establishing an administrative adjudication hearing procedure under
     7  the provisions of this article for all  code  and  ordinance  violations
     8  regarding  conditions  which constitute a threat or danger to the public
     9  health, safety or welfare. Such bureaus shall  be  responsible  for  the
    10  impartial administration and conduct of adjudicatory proceedings in such
    11  municipality.
    12    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
