        Introduced  by  M. of A. KATZ -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Education
 
        AN ACT extending the provision which authorizes Pawling  central  school
          district to lease lands not located within such school district
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 

     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary,
     2  or section 403-b of the education law, in so much as  it  prohibits  the
     3  leasing  of school buildings and facilities outside the school district,
     4  the Pawling central school district is authorized to enter into a  lease
     5  agreement with any person, partnership, or corporation for use and occu-
     6  pancy  of  a  building,  facility  or  any portion thereof, for use as a
     7  school facility, said facility to be located one-half  mile  outside  of
     8  the  school  district  boundary  on old Route 55 in the town of Pawling,
     9  said lease agreement to be for a term of  five  years,  subject  to  all
    10  other terms and conditions of section 403-b of the education law.
    11    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
