        AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to  a  driver's
          license issued to a person granted federal temporary protected status

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. The vehicle and traffic law is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 502-b to read as follows:
     3    §  502-b.  Temporary  protected status beneficiary licensing. Notwith-
     4  standing any other provision of law, the department  shall  not  cancel,
     5  suspend  or rescind the driver's license issued to an individual granted
     6  federal temporary protected status if and/or when the program  is  ended
     7  by the federal government.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
