        Introduced  by  M.  of  A.  O'DONNELL  --  read once and referred to the
          Committee on Environmental Conservation
 
        AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to amending  the  Adiron-
          dack park agency board construct
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The second undesignated paragraph of  section  803  of  the
     2  executive law, as amended by chapter 986 of the laws of 1984, is amended
     3  to read as follows:
     4    [Five]  Three  members  appointed  by  the governor shall be full-time
     5  residents within the Adirondack park provided, however, that no two such
     6  members shall be residents of the same county except  for  such  members
     7  initially  appointed  before  January  first,  nineteen hundred seventy-
     8  three, who may be reappointed for additional successive terms.   [Three]
     9  Five  members  appointed by the governor shall be residents of the state
    10  outside the Adirondack park. Not more than five appointed members  shall
    11  be  of  the  same political party.  None of the members appointed by the
    12  governor who are full-time residents within the Adirondack park shall be
    13  officers or employees of any town or county government.
    14    § 2. This act shall take effect on the thirtieth day  after  it  shall
    15  have become a law.
