        Introduced by M. of A. WILLIAMS -- read once and referred to the Commit-
          tee on Higher Education
 
        AN  ACT  amending chapter 548 of the laws of 2004 amending the education
          law relating to certain tuition waivers for police officer students of
          the city university of New York,  in  relation  to  the  effectiveness
          thereof

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Section 2 of chapter 548 of the laws of 2004  amending  the
     2  education  law  relating  to  certain tuition waivers for police officer
     3  students of the city university of New York, as amended by section 1  of
     4  item  KK  of subpart B of part XXX of chapter 58 of the laws of 2020, is
     5  amended to read as follows:
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall  expire  and  be
     7  deemed repealed July 1, [2022] 2024.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
