AN ACT to amend the judiciary law, in relation to the number of grand
jury stenographers that the district attorney may appoint in the coun-
ty of Onondaga
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision e of section 321 of the judiciary law, as added
2 by chapter 726 of the laws of 1975, is amended to read as follows:
3 e. In the county of Onondaga, it shall be lawful for the district
4 attorney of said county to appoint [three] five stenographers, each of
5 whom shall have authority to take and transcribe the testimony given
6 before the grand juries in the said county of Onondaga, and such
7 appointments shall be in writing under the hand and seal of such
8 district attorney, and shall be filed in the county clerk's office in
9 the county of Onondaga.
10 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
