        Introduced by M. of A. LAVINE -- read once and referred to the Committee
          on Election Law
 
        AN ACT in relation to petition requirements
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding subdivision  1  of  section  6-158  of  the
     2  election  law, a designating petition for the June 2020 primary election
     3  shall be filed with the appropriate  board  of  elections  on  March  17
     4  through  March  20,  2020  and  the  political  calendar with respect to
     5  objections, acceptances, authorizations, declinations, substitutions and
     6  the last day to commence an election law article 16 proceeding shall  be
     7  adjusted accordingly.
     8    § 2. Notwithstanding section 6-164 of the election law, there shall be
     9  no  option  to  file  an opportunity to ballot petition in the June 2020
    10  primary election.
    11    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
