Go to top STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 10264 IN ASSEMBLY April 8, 2020 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. CROUCH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to requiring veter- ans' homes offer hospice care The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 2 2636 to read as follows: 3 § 2636. State veterans' home hospice care. Every state veterans' home 4 operated pursuant to this article shall offer hospice care to any resi- 5 dent who qualifies for hospice care. 6 § 2. This act shall take effect on the one hundred eightieth day after 7 it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted.
