          read once and referred to the Committee on Education
 
        AN ACT extending the certification of certain school bus drivers
 
          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
 
     1    Section  1.  Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, any
     2  individual certified as a school bus driver pursuant to  the  provisions
     3  of  part  5  of article 73 of the education law for the 2019-2020 school
     4  year shall automatically retain such  certification  for  the  2020-2021
     5  school year.
     6    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
