Go to top STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 10961 IN ASSEMBLY September 9, 2020 ___________ Introduced by COMMITTEE ON RULES -- (at request of M. of A. Weprin) -- read once and referred to the Committee on Real Property Taxation AN ACT providing for the postponement of the New York city 2020 tax lien sale until one year after the COVID-19 state of emergency has been lifted The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the 2 New York city 2020 tax lien sale, which was originally scheduled to be 3 held on May 15, 2020 and has since further been delayed, shall be post- 4 poned and shall not occur until one year from the date the state disas- 5 ter emergency declared pursuant to executive order 202 of 2020 has been 6 lifted. 7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD17138-01-0
