          read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means
 
        AN ACT to amend the state finance law, in relation to  the  school-based
          health centers fund
 
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Section 99-bb  of  the  state  finance  law  is  renumbered
     2  section 99-ee.
     3    §  2.  The  closing paragraph of subdivision 7 of section 99-ee of the
     4  state finance law, as added by a chapter of the laws  of  2018  amending
     5  the tax law and the state finance law relating to providing a tax check-
     6  off  box  on  personal  income tax return forms for gifts to the school-
     7  based health centers fund, as  proposed  in  legislative  bills  numbers
     8  S.4487-B  and  A.2660-B and such section as renumbered by section one of
     9  this act, is amended to read as follows:
    10    Services shall be provided [on-site]  by  a  [multi-disciplinary  team
    11  consisting of a mid-level practitioner, a mental health counselor, and a
    12  medical  assistant  in  consultation with a physician. The centers shall
    13  also provide access to health care twenty-four hours per day, seven days
    14  per week] school-based health center licensed under article twenty-eight
    15  of the public health law or sponsored by a facility licensed  under  the
    16  public  health law and approved to operate by the New York state depart-
    17  ment of health.
    18    § 3. This act shall take effect on the  same  date  and  in  the  same
    19  manner  as  a  chapter  of the laws of 2018 amending the tax law and the
    20  state finance law relating to providing a tax check-off box on  personal
    21  income  tax  return  forms  for gifts to the school-based health centers
    22  fund, as proposed in legislative bills numbers  S.4487-B  and  A.2660-B,
    23  takes effect.
