CONGRATULATING "Mann Ki Baat" upon the occasion of
celebrating its 100th edition on April 30, 2023
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize
illustrious broadcasts which connect their viewers to the power and joy
of culture and government, and have positively impacted and
substantially contributed to the vitality of their communities; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate "Mann Ki Baat" upon the occasion of celebrating its 100th
edition; this milestone show will be broadcast on Sunday, April 30,
2023; and
WHEREAS, A monthly Indian radio program hosted by The Honorable
Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, "Mann Ki Baat" has been
broadcast on All India Radio, DD National, and DD News for more than
eight years; and
WHEREAS, "Mann Ki Baat" has served as a unique platform for the
Prime Minister to directly address the people of India and listeners
across the world, including the Indian-American community in New York
State, and share his thoughts and ideas on various issues of national
and international importance; and
WHEREAS, Furthermore, this vital broadcast has become an effective
means of communication between the Government and the people of India to
promote good governance and thereby deepen democracy; and
WHEREAS, The remarkable success of "Mann Ki Baat" is due in large
part to the steadfast and unwavering commitment of Prime Minister Shri
Narendra Modi; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body to publicly
recognize and honor milestones in the history of radio and television
productions both large and small in this great Empire State; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate "Mann Ki Baat" upon the occasion of celebrating its 100th
edition on April 30, 2023, and to offer best wishes to its team for
continued success in all their future endeavors; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, "Maan Ki Baat".
