CONGRATULATING Kayuta Drive-In upon the occasion
of celebrating its 60th Anniversary on June 24, 2023
WHEREAS, Within each community of this great State of New York there
are certain businesses that define the nature of the region and the
people who inhabit it; and
WHEREAS, Kayuta Drive-In, a legendary Oneida eatery, has been
serving the families and residents of Central New York for 60 years
thanks to a dedication to quality food and ice cream, outstanding
customer service, and a belief that customers will appreciate a
family-owned company that works hard every day to provide them with an
excellent experience; and
WHEREAS, The Kayuta Drive-In is hosting a celebration on Saturday,
June 24, 2023, at the restaurant with past employees, live music, and
discounted menu items; and
WHEREAS, A family-owned and operated business since its inception in
1963, Kayuta Drive-In was started by James and Carol Minosh, parents of
Lynn and James Jr.; and
WHEREAS, James Minosh Jr. now owns the family business, providing
the countless patrons who visit each season with the consistent service
and delicious food they have come to know and love; and
WHEREAS, Kayuta Drive-In is located in Remsen, New York, and is open
May through October each year, providing the perfect opportunity for
campers and travelers of all kinds to stop by on their way to
destinations such as the Adirondacks or the Thousand Islands; and
WHEREAS, It is fitting that this Legislative Body recognize local
businesses such as Kayuta Drive-In which have become institutions in the
community, as well as the successful entrepreneurs who have nurtured
them throughout the years; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Kayuta Drive-In upon the occasion of celebrating its 60th
Anniversary on June 24, 2023; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to James Minosh Jr., Owner of Kayuta Drive-In.
