Senate Resolution No. 1297
 
BY: Senator HARCKHAM
 
        MOURNING the death of Mark A. Morin, distinguished
        citizen, and devoted member of his community
 
  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens  of  the  State  of  New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Mark A. Morin of Tarrytown, New York, died on Saturday, May
6, 2023, at the age of 63; and
 
  WHEREAS, Born to Joyce and the late Donald Morin on June  30,  1959,
Mark A. Morin graduated from Valhalla High School in 1977; and
 
  WHEREAS,  On  November 28, 1982, he married his cherished wife, Dana
Campo, in Valhalla, New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Mark A. Morin distinguished himself in his  profession  and
by his sincere dedication and substantial contribution to the welfare of
his community; and
 
  WHEREAS,  He was the Assistant Parks Foreman for the Town of Bedford
for 20 years, then went on to  pursue  private  duty  License  Practical
Nurse  work; additionally, he was a member of the Croton Falls Volunteer
Fire Department; and
 
  WHEREAS, Mark A. Morin's commitment to excellence, and his spirit of
humanity,  carried  over  into  all  fields  of  enterprise,   including
charitable and civic endeavors; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Mark  A.  Morin  is  survived by his wife, Dana; his three
children, Brent, Ashley, and Brittany; three  brothers,  Donald,  David,
and  Michael; and eight grandchildren, Jack, Blake, Austin, Chase, Dean,
Faye, Brayden, and Taylor; and
 
  WHEREAS, Armed with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a  sense  of
compassion,  Mark A. Morin leaves behind a legacy which will long endure
the passage of time and will remain as a comforting  memory  to  all  he
served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death of Mark A. Morin,  distinguished  citizen,  and  devoted
member of his community; and be it further
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Mark A. Morin.
