COMMEMORATING the 15th Anniversary of the Best In
Show Pet Resort of Mineola, New York
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize those
small businesses within the State of New York which contribute to the
economic health and vitality of the communities they serve; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the Best In Show Pet Resort of
Mineola, New York, to be celebrated at an event on Saturday, June 10,
2023; and
WHEREAS, After traveling across the country visiting all the premier
pet resorts, Dr. Raymond Polley, DVM founded the Best In Show Pet Resort
in 2008, to bring that outstanding pet care to Long Island; and
WHEREAS, In addition to establishing the Best In Show Pet Resort,
Dr. Raymond Polley founded Garden City Veterinary Care which was
relocated to Nassau county in 2008; and
WHEREAS, Today, the Best In Show Pet Resort is the first all-suite,
state of the art, luxury pet care facility in Mineola, and under the
luminous leadership of General Manager Jennifer Nucci, it remains true
to its mission of providing their customer's pets with the whole dog
experience; and
WHEREAS, Each and every dog receives customized care and attention
from friendly, experienced pet care attendants including exercise,
socialization, mental stimulation, or life skills to strengthen their
overall wellbeing; and
WHEREAS, Small businesses such as the Best In Show Pet Resort exert
a strong, positive influence on the communities they serve and are a
crucial element in the economy of New York State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commemorate the 15th Anniversary of the Best In Show Pet Resort of
Mineola, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr. Raymond Polley, Owner, and Jennifer Nucci, General
Manager, Best In Show Pet Resort.
