HONORING Dr. Bruce Stewart, DDS, upon the occasion
of his designation as recipient of the 2023
Distinguished Service Award by the Greater Oneida
Chamber of Commerce on October 27, 2023
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
honor those distinguished citizens who would devote their life's work
and purpose to community service, contributing to the welfare of the
citizens of their communities and this great Empire State; and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
commend Dr. Bruce Stewart, DDS, upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2023 Distinguished Service Award by the Greater Oneida
Chamber of Commerce of Oneida, New York, to be celebrated at the
chamber's annual dinner at Vernon Downs in Vernon, New York, on Friday,
October 27, 2023; and
WHEREAS, The Distinguished Service Award is given every year to a
community member, business, or organization who has demonstrated service
and commitment to improving the local community and making our area a
better, more vibrant place to live; and
WHEREAS, Bruce Stewart received his degree in biology from
Binghamton University in 1978; in 1982, he obtained his dental degree
from University at Buffalo School of Dentistry; and
WHEREAS, After a one-year residency in general practice at Upstate
Medical Center in Syracuse, New York, and a four-year associateship in
Syracuse, Dr. Bruce Stewart established his dental practice in Oneida,
New York, in 1987; and
WHEREAS, With a desire to provide a facility that could meet his
patients' needs, Dr. Bruce Stewart and his staff utilize technological
advancements in dentistry; the benefits decrease visits to the office
and increase positive outcomes; and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
individuals, who have enhanced the quality of life in their communities
and have shown a long and sustained commitment to the maintenance of
high standards in their professions, unquestionably have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
and
WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this Legislative Body
to honor and support those individuals who have displayed their
commitment to their communities, and it is the intent of this
Legislative Body to inscribe, upon its records, this tribute to Dr.
Bruce Stewart to recognize and appreciate his admirable character as
well as the respect and esteem in which he is held by his peers; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Dr. Bruce Stewart, DDS, upon the occasion of his designation as
recipient of the 2023 Distinguished Service Award by the Greater Oneida
Chamber of Commerce on October 27, 2023; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr. Bruce Stewart, DDS.
