CONGRATULATING Dr. Brijendra Gupta upon the
occasion of retiring after nearly 40 years as a
prominent physician in Lockport, New York
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize that
the quality of life in the communities across this great State of New
York is enriched by the diligence and compassionate commitment of those
individuals whose singular purpose is the care and welfare of others;
and
WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to
congratulate Dr. Brijendra Gupta upon the occasion of retiring after
nearly 40 years as a prominent physician in Lockport, New York; and
WHEREAS, After studying medicine at Armed Forces Medical College in
Delhi, India, Dr. Brijendra Gupta came to Western New York in 1976; he
worked as a house physician at Kenmore Mercy Hospital, and then
completed his residency at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center; and
WHEREAS, In 1980, Dr. Brijendra Gupta opened his own private
practice in Lockport; throughout his esteemed career, he has treated
multiple generations of family members, including up to four for some
families; he will officially close his practice on Friday, May 31, 2019;
and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Joanne, who has
always shown him love and support and rejoices in his many achievements;
and
WHEREAS, Throughout his career, Dr. Brijendra Gupta served his
beloved community of Lockport, New York, with intelligence and caring
dedication, continuously striving to effectively fulfill the duties of
his position as a medical professional; and
WHEREAS, Sincerely loved and greatly respected by all those with
whom Dr. Brijendra Gupta worked, he will be remembered for his honesty,
integrity, keen sense of duty and ability to show a unique grasp of
human problems in his official acts; and
WHEREAS, It is the intent of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the maintenance of high standards in their
profession, certainly have earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate Dr. Brijendra Gupta upon the occasion of retiring after
nearly 40 years as a prominent physician in Lockport, New York, and to
wish him continued success in all his future endeavors; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr. Brijendra Gupta.
