HONORING Rai Fernandez upon the occasion of his
designation for special recognition by the White
Plains Public Library at its 50-Year Celebration
WHEREAS, Individuals who give of their time and energies and serve
the best interests of their communities are an asset beyond remuneration
and cannot be sufficiently extolled; and
WHEREAS, Rai Fernandez has given not only of his time and energies
but also of his competence, intelligence, and leadership and
consequently has been designated for special honor; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Rai
Fernandez upon the occasion of his designation for special recognition
by the White Plains Public Library at its 50-Year Celebration on
Saturday, May 4, 2024; and
WHEREAS, Rai Fernandez has been called upon to contribute his time
and talents to countless civic and charitable endeavors and has always
given of himself unstintingly; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Rai Fernandez has stood constant in
dignity and good grace; and
WHEREAS, Rai Fernandez, Partner of Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc.,
is honored for his creativity, technical skill, and appreciation for the
magnificent and dignified historic building that serves as the White
Plains Public Library; and
WHEREAS, With his team, Architect Rai Fernandez has revolutionized
most of the Library's spaces and enhanced the experience for thousands
of guests annually; and
WHEREAS, Through a partnership with Bermello Ajamil, & Partners
Inc., spanning several years, Rai Fernandez and his associates have
created spectacular renovations; the entire first floor, the Trove
(children's area), the Edge (teens' area), auditorium, and gallery are
all impressive showcases produced by the collective talent of this
global architecture and engineering firm; and
WHEREAS, Rai Fernandez offers more than 30 years of experience in
managing, coordinating, designing, and masterfully planning numerous
award-winning accomplishments, including hotels, airports, residential
buildings, ports, and libraries; and
WHEREAS, Rare indeed is the impressive dedication shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Rai Fernandez has displayed
throughout his life; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Rai Fernandez upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the White Plains Public Library at its 50-Year
Celebration; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Rai Fernandez.
