Senate Resolution No. 2097

        MOURNING   the   death  of  Robert  G.  Fenninger,
        distinguished citizen  and  devoted  member  of  his
        community
 
  WHEREAS, It is the custom of this Legislative Body to pay tribute to
citizens  of  the  State  of  New York whose lifework and civic endeavor
served to enhance the quality of life in their communities and the great
State of New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, Robert Fenninger of the Bronx, New York, died on  July  24,
2023, at the age of 97; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Born  on  May 27, 1926, Robert Fenninger was raised in the
Bronx, New York; and
 
  WHEREAS, A proud veteran, Robert Fenninger served the United  States
valiantly during World War II; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Following  his  honorable  discharge  from service, Robert
Fenninger pursued a career in plumbing and  his  entrepreneurial  skills
were  brought  into  light; he excelled in and managed his own business,
Fenninger & Son Plumbing and Heating; and
 
  WHEREAS, Sharing his expertise with the community, Robert  Fenninger
served  as  a  member  of the Putnam County Plumbing Board; and for many
years, Robert also inspired the next generation of plumbers teaching  at
Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES); and
 
  WHEREAS,  A  beautiful  light in the lives of all those with whom he
came in contact, Robert Fenninger enjoyed  nature,  traveling,  animals,
country music, and spending time with his beloved family; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Robert  Fenninger  distinguished himself in his profession
and by his  sincere  dedication  and  substantial  contribution  to  the
welfare of his community; and
 
  WHEREAS, Robert Fenninger's commitment to excellence, and his spirit
of  humanity,  carried  over  into  all  fields of enterprise, including
charitable and civic endeavors; and
 
  WHEREAS, Robert  Fenninger  is  survived  by  his  wife,  daughters,
stepchildren,  and  grandchildren,  all  of  whom will remember his warm
nature, wonderful sense of humor, talent, and commitment to  his  family
and community; and
 
  WHEREAS,  Armed  with a humanistic spirit and imbued with a sense of
compassion, Robert Fenninger leaves behind  a  legacy  which  will  long
endure the passage of time and will remain as a comforting memory to all
he served and befriended; now, therefore, be it
 
  RESOLVED,  That  this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
mourn the death  of  Robert  G.  Fenninger,  distinguished  citizen  and
devoted member of his community; and be it further
 
 
  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to the family of Robert G. Fenninger.
