COMMENDING Toussaint Ngozi Santicola Jones upon
the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the African American Cultural Center
of the Capital Region, Inc. on September 27, 2019
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to recognize and
pay tribute to those young people within the great Empire State who have
made strong contributions to their communities and who serve as role
models for their peers; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Toussaint
Ngozi Santicola Jones upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the African American Cultural Center of the Capital
Region, Inc. to be celebrated at its 1st Annual Gala on Friday,
September 27, 2019, at Treviso by Mallozzi's in Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, A senior at Albany High School, Toussaint Ngozi Santicola
Jones is a talented musician, playing saxophone, bass guitar, and piano;
in addition, he likes to sing and compose classical music, musical
theater and write progressive rock and jazz fusion songs; and
WHEREAS, This remarkable young man is involved in many
extracurricular activities and clubs, he plays on the varsity boys
lacrosse team, is the Secretary of My Brother's Keeper Organization, and
volunteers his time and energies in his community; and
WHEREAS, With his sense of civic duty and his commitment to others,
Toussaint Ngozi Santicola Jones represents the best development of the
potential which is inherent in our most precious resource, our youth;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Toussaint Ngozi Santicola Jones upon the occasion of his
designation for special honor by the African American Cultural Center of
the Capital Region, Inc.; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Toussaint Ngozi Santicola Jones.
