CONGRATULATING James Hall upon the occasion of
being promoted to Troop A Commander of the New York
State Police Department
WHEREAS, The quality and sanctity of community life are cherished
values, worthy of safeguarding, and this Legislative Body is moved to
honor those individuals who serve to preserve and protect such values,
lauding particularly their unwavering courage and dedication in the
daily performance of their duties; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to congratulate James
Hall upon the occasion of being promoted to Troop A Commander of the New
York State Police Department; and
WHEREAS, Major James M. Hall, a 25-year veteran of the New York
State Police has been named the 25th Troop Commander in the 102-year
history of Troop A; and
WHEREAS, James Hall received his Bachelor's degree in Organizational
Management from Houghton College, and a Master's degree in Public
Administration from Marist College; he then went on to become a graduate
of the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy; and
WHEREAS, In 1994, James Hall began his career with the New York
State Police, quickly rising through the ranks as Troop A's BCI Captain,
Uniform Trooper, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain; in addition, this
dedicated man also served in the Professional Standards Bureau, as well
as the Gaming Detail; and
WHEREAS, As the Troop A Commander, James Hall will oversee all State
Police patrol and investigative operations within the eight counties of
Western New York for over 400 sworn and civilian personnel; and
WHEREAS, During the course of his career, James Hall has had the
opportunity to work on several high-profile cases and various
assignments; and
WHEREAS, This esteemed man is committed to public service and comes
from a family with a rich history in law enforcement; and
WHEREAS, The tradition of noble public service, heroism and
leadership embodied by James Hall is of such magnitude as to be worthy
of special, statewide recognition; this meritorious man stands as an
integral part of the criminal justice system, and will continue to
provide critical and vital service to the residents of our communities;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those
dedicated public servants who unselfishly devote their lives to the
preservation of order and the protection of others are worthy and due
full praise for their commitment and noble endeavors; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
congratulate James Hall upon the occasion of being promoted to Troop A
Commander of the New York Police State Department; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Major James Hall, Troop A Commander, New York State
Police Department.
