HONORING Richard Lovrich upon the occasion of his
designation as recipient of the 2020 Third Age
Achievement Award for Arts and Culture by LifePath
WHEREAS, From time to time this Legislative Body takes note of
certain extraordinary individuals it wishes to recognize for their
valued contributions to the success and progress of society and publicly
acknowledge their endeavors which have enhanced the basic humanity among
us all; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to honor Richard
Lovrich upon the occasion of his designation as recipient of the Third
Age Achievement Award for Arts and Culture by LifePath which was
celebrated at its 24th Annual Awards Ceremony on Friday, September 25,
2020; and
WHEREAS, Each year, this auspicious event recognizes the
contributions area residents and professionals have made in their
communities during the Third Age, after turning 60 years-old, of their
lives; Richard Lovrich is truly deserving of this prestigious award; and
WHEREAS, LifePath is dedicated to keeping older neighbors and
friends healthy and safe by providing effective programs and support to
help them stay connected to their communities; and
WHEREAS, A man of many talents, Richard Lovrich is an art director,
writer, photographer, and incredible storyteller who has contributed
greatly to the arts and culture scene in the Capital District; and
WHEREAS, Since 2008, Richard Lovrich has held the title of Creative
Director for theatricals at Proctor's Theater, and for five years, at
Universal Preservation Hall; and
WHEREAS, In addition to his prominent role in promoting the
importance of the arts, Richard Lovrich is a group leader and national
spokesperson for the Alpha-1 Foundation; in this capacity, he dedicates
his time and efforts to supporting and educating those living with
Alpha-1, a genetic condition passed from parents to children, which may
result in lung disease in adults and/or liver disease at any age; and
WHEREAS, With him throughout has been his wife, Lynne, who feels
privileged to be a part of his life and rejoices in his achievements;
and
WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown a
long and sustained commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
honor Richard Lovrich upon the occasion of his designation as recipient
of the 2020 Third Age Achievement Award for Arts and Culture by
LifePath; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Richard Lovrich.
