COMMENDING Sharon Tucker upon the occasion of her
designation for special recognition after 60 years
of dedicated service to the 3-G Fire Department in
Glenfield, New York
WHEREAS, The quality and character of life in this Nation, and the
great State of New York, is reflective of the purposeful lives and good
works of those patriotic and civic-minded community members who dedicate
their lives and careers to the service of others; and
WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is justly proud to commend Sharon
Tucker upon the occasion of her designation for special recognition
after 60 years of dedicated service to the 3-G Fire Department to be
celebrated at its Annual Banquet on Saturday, May 13, 2023; and
WHEREAS, Sharon Tucker joined the 3-G Fire Department Ladies'
Auxiliary in 1963; throughout her six decades of service, she held
several positions within the Auxiliary including: President, Secretary,
and for the last 20 years, Treasurer; and
WHEREAS, Throughout her tenure, Sharon Tucker has been instrumental
in the success of many of the organization's activities and has assisted
on numerous fire scenes, working tirelessly to provide support to the
3-G Fire Department and to aid the volunteer firefighters in various
capacities; and
WHEREAS, In addition to her late husband, Frederick, with her
throughout have been her two daughters, Robin and Becky, all of whom
feel privileged to be a part of her life and rejoice in her
achievements; and
WHEREAS, Sharon Tucker is deserving of the highest commendation of
this Legislative Body for her commitment to the 3-G Fire Department, as
she has helped to advance the perception of her community as a caring
and united community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to
commend Sharon Tucker upon the occasion of her designation for special
recognition after 60 years of dedicated service to the 3-G Fire
Department in Glenfield, New York; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Sharon Tucker.
