AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to school bus
safety equipment
The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-bly, do enact as follows:
1 Section 1. Subdivision 20 of section 375 of the vehicle and traffic
2 law is amended by adding a new paragraph (m) to read as follows:
3 (m) Every such omnibus manufactured for use in this state on and after
4 January first, two thousand eleven shall be equipped with a school bus
5 front crossing arm conforming to the standards established by the
6 commissioner pursuant to subdivision twenty-one-e of this section.
7 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
